Bellingen Writers Festival (June long weekend)
The Bellingen Readers & Writers Festival has become a popular annual cultural event showcasing leading authors and celebrating all things literary. With workshops, talks, forums, book launches, competitions, entertainment and school programs, its a diverse and inspiring weekend with something for everyone.
Annual show featuring top Jazz and Blues acts. The Festival’s “boutique” feel has given the music an immediacy that is so important to create a link between the performers and the audience. Bellingen Jazz Festival is run by dedicated volunteers and enjoys widespread community support and strong local business sponsorship.
Dorrigo Folk and Bluegrass Festival (October)
An intimate and friendly three-day weekend of acoustic music featuring some of the very best Folk and Bluegrass and Old-Time country musicians from around Australia and overseas.
Bellingen Community Markets
3rd Saturday of the month. Featuring live music and outdoor cafes, it is a popular meeting and social event, drawing people from all over the Mid North Coast. Featuring 200+ stalls.

Bellingen Valley Lodge is close to seven National Parks. A short 30min drive west takes you to the Skywalk at Dorrigo National Park. Or an hours drive takes you to Cathedral Rocks's intriguing stacks of granite bolders and the spectacular views of Point Look Out in the New England National Park.
Nearby Glenreagh in the Coffs Harbour hinterland is home to the Glenreagh Mountain Railway. The Railway is a live display with about 800 metres of track restored and much more planned for the near future.
